Homework – No Longer A Battle

ist2_13034189-children

I have always had problems at home with homework. I battled my parents all the time. It was not fun. I was able to get help by seeing a specialist that specializes in ADHD. We play games, do worksheets, go over things we haven’t covered in school so when we start to do them in school I’m already ahead and I know what to do.

I no longer battle with my parents over homework. I am on the honor roll at school.

The specialist is able to help me when new ADHD symptoms come up. I feel I am in control instead of my ADHD

My parents moved away and I was able to finish school

I was affected by the down turn in the economy. My father was a janitor at the auto plant that shut down last spring. He hasn’t worked in over a year. This is so hard to live with. The depression and the denial set in. I tried desperately to stay busy with my academics and with sports. Then one day my father said we are moving the afternoon and for the next three days. He had found a place for us to live in another state.

I was able to stay and finish out my Senior year and graduate with my class.

It does not matter how you learn… You have greatness in you. Your job is to figure out what your gift is and give it to the world.’
